As Lunar New Year comes near, there are many restaurants and hotels having promotions on their F&B outlets.
Gathering with families and friends is one of the very important activities during Chinese New Year, therefore we are always undecided where should we gather during Chinese New Year.
Now I'm going to introduce one more option for you to choose.
At Penang G Hotel, they are having a Goat Year Reunion Buffets throughout the Chinese New Year period to celebrate with their guests and customers.
I believe we would be glad to see variety of choices on the buffet corner, at the same time also enjoying some delicious chinese dishes, together with Salmon Yee Sang for a better and prosperous year.

Penang Rojak is available at G Hotel, where you can try to mix all the ingredients and the sauce yourself
Fried Samosa and Century Egg Rolls, tasted not bad but it couldn't be better if it is less oily.
I went on Monday, which is also the Asian Nite themed buffet and therefore, some dim sum and pao available at the special corner, which was quite good.
Not forget to mention that the dim sum are also Halal, but I can't really tell the difference before the taste of chicken siew mai is equally as good as the pork siew mai.
Some Seafood Sashimi spread as usual, and scallops are my all time favourite!
Every revisits to G Cafe, the appetizers are always different.
That night we also had quite a number of choices for salad.

Ikan Bilis Istimewa, one of my favourite appetizer
Fruit Salad
The special of the night also highlighted the Pasembur where you get to choose ingredients like potato, cucumber and many more, and then topped with the sauce to enjoy a plate of delicious and spicy Pasembur.
Featuring Traditional Nyonya Kuih in G Cafe too, which is very much Asian style
Apom Manis
Desserts in G Cafe is always surprising and good, same goes to that night itself
Pandan Chiffon Cake, very soft and smooth. Just perfect with a cup of coffee
Green Tea Cake is the new item that I tried for the first time, and I think that red beans blended really well with Green Tea, they are just perfect to eat together.
Mango Mousse, very smooth and creamy. I personally love how it melts in my mouth.
I've forgot the name of this dessert, but I would say that it is the best dessert of the night.
The tarts are very crispy, and the shredded coconut inside the tarts are baked until crispy, made every bite tasted so good.
Layer Cake are pretty good as it is not too soft and not too sweet. As I remember everytime when my friends brought layer cakes from Sarawak are usually too sweet.
Kek Gula Hangus, which is something like caramel sponge cake. I find this cake a little bit too sweet for my liking if I were to compare it with the layer cake
Peanut Butter Cake, one of the best dessert of the night. The peanut butter is really creamy and rich. Every bites are so delicious!
Maracaibo Chocolate Banana Mousse, the mousse layer and the perfect mixture of banana and chocolate will make you fall in love with this dessert as well
Back to the CNY dishes, we had Fish Maw Soup for the night, Fish Maw Soup is very common in Chicnese Family, especially during Chinese New Year.
Seafood Chowder of the night was pretty delicious and creamy, the seafood used are very fresh too!
Wok Fried Prawns with Salted Egg Sauce, one of the common dishes you will find during reunion meals
Braised Lamb with Radish, the lamb are soft and smooth. And it tasted quite good with the chinese style of cooking.
Chicken in Sweet Soy Gravy, I'm not really a fan of capsicum so I didn't try this.
Chilli Crab, one of my favourite of the night. Basically it is because the crabs are very fresh. And the spiciness made me feel so appetizing! Very much Asian style!
Whole Salmon, it was very good as the salmon were fresh, and also the sauce are delicious and went well with the fish.
They also have Hokkien Mee for the night, which is my favourite Penang food.
They also have Penang Char Koay Teow, one of the signature dishes of Penang Street Food
One of the highlights, Honey Roasted Chicken and BBQ Roasted Duck
I also tried the new dish by G Cafe, wrapped roasted duck.
Firstly, the chef will take out the hot steamed roll, then apply a thin layer of roasted duck sauce
Then, spring onion slices and cucumber slices will be added onto the roll
Lastly, add in the duck meat and roll it up
Thanks to the chef who prepared that for me so we don't have to get our hands dirty
Then, some delicious Wrapped Roasted Duck are ready!
Before we start our meal, we joined in to have a Lou Sang Ceremony by the G Hotel
Yee Sang is actually very colourful, and there's sequence of adding every ingredients.
First, we will add in the crispy biscuits
Secondly, the fresh salmon
Third, the oil
Lastly, the sauce for Yee Sang
After we have added in everything, then it is time for the toasting ceremony!
We had a wonderful night of toasting thanks to G Hotel!
I was busy taking photos so I joined in the session later
I also had my favourite Chocolate Fondue after I finished my meal
