A Day Out with Applefish @ Gurney Paragon

Hanging out with friends are always lovely!
Especially when you are hanging out with somebody that you have thousands of topics to talk with.
On a fine Sunday, which was 2 weeks ago, I went to Gurney Paragon with Chloe from http://www.applefish.net for some catch up.

Sunny and windy!
A place with great view!

So we started off for our lunch first, lunch was at Angus House, Japanese Charcoal Steak.
Angus House is a place with nice ambience, fine dining restaurant.
It is located at 2nd floor of Gurney Paragon, facing the sea view.

Menu available infront of the restaurant.
Outdoor seating

They also have VIP rooms for a small group meetings and other occasion.

I think this restaurant can caters more than 100 people

Imported wines are also available

Start off with appetizer, Pumpkin Soup.
This pumpkin soup is something different from those Cream of Pumpkin Soup, it is not as thick as what other restaurants serve. Though it is watery, but the soup tasted really good! Must try!

Homemade bun, goes very well with soup. Must have it while it is still hot!
Very nice!

This is a Japanese style restaurant, and their salad is so Japanese flavour as well!
It is with sesame, and some dried fish slices top with the salad.
This is really special and good!

Mixed Seafood Combo
The Cod fish and tiger prawns are really yums! Especially the sauce that they served with.
The seafood are really fresh enough that they don't need to add any flavouring to the seafood.

Steak Combo (Lamb Rack & Tenderloin Beef)
I don't fancy beef, so Chloe and the rest of our friends had it. But the lamb racks are really good, I'm always afraid that restaurant may cook lamb until it is hard and dry, but this one is really tender and good as it is not really overcooked.

Australian Rib Eye Beef Steak
I didn't have this as well because it is beef, but you can tell that it is kinda good by looking at the layer and colour of the beef. It is medium rare, best way to serve beef isn't it?

Australian Tenderloin Beef Steak
It depends on whether you are not into Ribeye, you may also choose tenderloin, and it is imported from Australia. Guess it must be tender and juicy!

Other than ala carte menu, Lunch Menu is also available here. We ordered this Spaghetti Aglio Olio Set, it comes with salad, dessert and tea.
I love this aglio olio and it is not so oily, and not too spicy at the same time.
The mussels are very fresh and big!

Spaghetti Carbonara here tasted pretty good too. It comes with seasoned chicken meat, which was quite tender and quite good.
This spaghetti wasn't too creamy too.

This meal was ended with a slice of Tiramisu, my all time favourite.
This place has got Halal certified, so that Tiramisu here does not contain any alcohol.

After lunch, we headed to another place for dessert.
I've heard about Moo-Cow for quite some time but I still never try out yet.
So this time I went with Chloe for some nice chilling Frozen Yoghurt.

Took a picture with the pretty Chloe

Walked into Moo Cow and found this place like a small wonderland!
Everything is so cute in there!

They have yogurt icecream, yogurt cheesecake and also yogurt drinks, Seasonal yogurt will be change every month.

Aren't this place cute?

We get to try Kiwi flavour, Blueberry flavour and also the original yogurt flavour.
The yogurt here is good and smooth, pretty good compared to Tutti Frutti!
I will sure come back again.

The cute mascots of Moo Cow

Cute puzzles and figurines

Yogurt drinks available in 2 flavours, Strawberry and Blueberry

Their loyalty system is also special, where you have to download an app with your smartphone, and every purchase you will obtain a QR code to collect your rewards.

Very cute merchandise items available for redeem once you have collected enough rewards.

We were quite full after our lunch and dessert.
It is time for some shopping!
We went over to the new side of Gurney Paragon, Penang on 6

Stopped a while at Dennie Yeap, a fashion store that kinda vintage.
Though there's nothing for men, but Chloe kinda interested in some of the stuffs.

Chloe spotted this bag so she posed with it

Next, Dovey Diary!
Also another vintage fashion shop

They also have discounts

Very cute handmade dolls

I kinda like this vintage case too

Simple, neat and nice.
Next!
We went to Thai Odyssey for some relaxation after our legs get tired.
It's location is kinda hard to find, which is on the 3rd floor of Gurney Paragon, facing the sea view too.

They have all sorts of available packages and also single treatment

Very friendly therapists and promoters

The place is very cozy and comfy

First, the therapists helped us to wash and scrubbed our legs

Then we were brought into the reflexology room for our foot massage

The massage was too comfy and I was really relaxing myself.
I fell asleep and Chloe told me that I snored very loud!
Oh gosh!

There are other types of reflexology rooms for different types of massage

They also have VIP rooms for rent at RM55 per hour, it has got bathtub, shower and sauna inside the room.

Couple reflexology room

Their aroma therapy oil does come with different functions, they will ask their customers whether what kind of functions do they want before they start with their therapy massage.

Available massage:
Half Body Massage
Traditional Foot Massage
Traditional Thai Massage
Thai Aromatherapy Massage

That's the end of our day out, can't wait for the next one!
