But anyway, E&O Hotel in Penang is also well known for their quality buffet with the most wide variety of food available on the buffet spread.
This time, I was a little bit surprise that E&O Hotel has came up with Seafood Steamboat Set as their latest promotions in Sarkies Corner!
Sarkies Corner was the previous buffet outlet that I was here when I was small and I still remember every each corner serving different food.
It was rather luxurious to be able to dine at this gorgeous hotel that age 130 years old this year. It kinda reminds me of my childhood with my family members, especially some who are no longer around.
E&O Hotel is celebrating its 130th anniversary this year.
The building is still as glory and charm like the older days, you can still have a strong feeling of colonial style whenever you step into the hotel.
I remember when I was a kid, I stepped into here with my family and had buffet lunch together.

The most important things about steamboat to me is of course all those ingredients that I'm going to cook in the pot. Particularly seafood and meats that has to be very fresh and of course, the more the better.
I was rather surprised to find them serving Salmon for steamboat. As we are usual have other fishes for steamboat but not Salmon. It is rather unique to have steamboat with Salmon, but the taste wasn't bad at all. It must be because the fish was quite fresh.
There are 3 selections for the soup:
Tom Yam Soup, Chicken Soup or Herbal Soup
I went with Herbal Soup as I'm kinda cinapek person.
Other than meats, they are also serving vegetables like cabbages, mushrooms and a must: beancurd!
3 types of sauces available, Hainan Chili sauce, Soya Sauce, and Sesame Oil(for soup)
There are also red chili, fried garlic and sweet sauce to go with the steamboat.

It is charging at RM88.00 nett per person, but the portion is rather big. Unless if you have a real big appetite, or you wont be able to finish them. So remember to bring along your friends or family.
Oh look at the crabs! It came with crab roe!
Though it must be a pain to our body if we have cholesterol problems, but for me it is a must!
We threw all the crabs into the soup to make it taste nicer.
White prawns, mussels, scallops, fish balls and bamboo clams are also available on the seafood plate.
It is rather surprising to find all those good quality ingredients provided by the hotel, definitely worth the price I'm paying for.

We threw all the fresh seafood into the broth and starts cooking. Just to make sure that the soup could be sweet enough and we get to enjoy it towards the end of our meal.
It is rather fun to have Steamboat in such classy place, but it is definitely worth visit judging on the quality ingredients we are getting. But of course, you can find other cheaper steamboat meals out there, but I can guarantee you that the ingredients that you are getting aren't as fresh as you thought.
