Revisiting DCOVA @ Logan Heritage, Penang

After my first visit to DCOVA, I seem to have fallen in love with this cafe.
In fact, I've revisited for a few more time before writing this post to introduce their new dishes.
I'm totally in love with the food at DCOVA, especially the delicious pasta and desserts of this cafe.

This time, I've been invited by CK and together with Chloe, we head over to DCOVA to try out their new dishes.
This recently, they have changed their menu and bringing a few more dishes offering delicious dishes cooked with squid ink and also more varieties on their dessert menu too.

Even during the evening time, DCOVA still looks pretty stand out from the outside

We started with a glass of chilling and refreshing juice, Yuzade-freshand Citrusy. It is Yuzu Soda served with Homemade Japanese Yuzu Jelly, priced at RM14.90 and definitely a good choice for people who doesn't like tea or coffee. The homemade yuzu jelly that made this drink rather special, the whole drink is slightly sour and sweet that made you feel so appetizing and ready for you meal.

Here I bring you the main character of the post!
Riz Al Nero Di Seppia (Seafood Squid Ink Fried Rice) and
Pasta Al Nero Di Seppia (Seafood Squid Ink Pasta)

Pasta Al Nero Di Seppia, the seafood squid ink pasta is topped with generous portion of Ebiko, which is why I'm so in love with it. And the squid was chewy and fresh. The squid ink pasta is rather chewy and tasted quite good mixing together with the Ebiko. You will definitely love it if you are a fan of squid ink dishes. Furthermore, not many places in Penang that you can really find squid ink pasta. The price is rather reasonable for a generous portion of pasta at only RM25.90 too.

Riz Al Nero Di Seppia the seafood squid ink fried rice was rather delightful with two medium prawns and fresh squids as well. Pricing at only RM28.90 is really a good deal with such big portion and fresh ingredients. The rice was rather creamy and flavourful with the squid ink. This was my first time trying out squid ink with rice and surprising I love it very much.

Please take note that preparation of this dish would take longer (approximately 20minutes) than other dishes as it must be cooked on the spot to keep its flavour and freshness.

DCOVA's Big Breakfast is available all day long. So you can also have it during night time or whenever you feel like. It is priced at RM22.90 and the portion you get is rather big. I really like how well the scramble egg is done. In most cafes of Penang, you will get a fully cooked scramble egg even if you didn't request for it, which is why I hardly order this kind of dishes in other cafes.

Spicy Seafood Aglio Olio is priced at RM21.90 with the presence of generous amount shrimps and squid rings. They are all fresh and tasted very great. This kind of dishes would always be my choice too as I'm a very seafood person as well as spicy food will make me feel much more appetizing than non-spicy food. What a typical Malaysian would say.

Chocolate Lava Cake is one of their new dessert. Thought the methods of serving is rather different from the common Chocolate Lava cake like what we can see out there, but the taste is equally good. But remember not to leave it for too long and the chocolate will solidify like what I was having because I took quite some time to take pictures.

Affogato is one of my favourite dessert. Especially when it is served with good coffee like this one in DCOVA, furthermore they are not stingy on their ice cream portion too. This is really a mouth-watering dessert that made me so obsess towards it as I'm both and coffee and ice cream lover. Together with the bitterness from the coffee and the sweetness from ice cream they made a great pair!

Chocolate Rum Cake from DCOVA really amazed me!
They have added a generous portion of Rum that made this cake so rich and delicious!
To me, it is not really advisable for kids as the alcohol content could be too high, but I'm sure the adults would love it. Except if you are not really an alcohol person.

To end the meal, I also ordered a latte, my usual coffee.
For those who have visited DCOVA before, you would know the quality of their coffee is not bad at all even after they replaced The LightHouse Coffee. Which is why people are still going back quite often and they have more and more regular customers.

Coffee and cakes are great match, aren't they?

Now I'm bringing an even greater news!
