Tubotel @ Pulau Langkawi

Langkawi is an island that makes you feel like you are in heaven. Not only because of the beautiful sea and attractive water activities, but also some unique hostels and hotels that give you a real retreat to chill your mind and body.

Tubotel in Langkawi is located slightly distance away from the crowded Cenang Beach, but yet it is only 5 minutes ride and you get to enjoy a quiet and peaceful place all for yourself. Like how the hostel was named, Tubotel is a tube concept hotel where all their rooms are built by all the cement tubes that painted in colourful paints. 

Tubotel has been here serving hundreds, and thousands of travellers from all over the world since the past decade. This place attracts foreign and local visitors with their unique concept and beautiful location in Langkawi where you can enjoy lovely sunrise and also sunset view when you are staying in this hotel. 

There are 3 types of rooms available here at Tubotel, either you go for the garden view tube, the sea view tube, or dorms are also available. All the rooms comes with a different ambience and views though you are having the same design. You also get to choose the colour you want if there are any availability.

If you go for the sea-view tube, what you are facing is the infinity seaview that comes right in front of your door. It was really enjoyable especially when you wake up early in the morning you will be welcomed by the chilling sea breeze and also priceless sunrise, you just gotta sit on your bed and open up the door.

Every room comes with a large bed, all basic amenities such as towels, water, coffee & tea are all provided. Toilets are on sharing options but that's not a problem because they have plenty of bathrooms available in this hostel. 

Every tube comes with a large bed that can fit 2 adults, the bed was kinda big so I think there shouldn't be any problem to fit another child too. But for your best comfort just stay to 2 adults is pretty good.

Apart from the tube rooms, we were really impressed by the surrounding and the ambience that comes with million dollar sea view. Walking around and chill at the public areas of the hostel is what you must do when you stay at Tubotel!
Not forget to mention that the place was just colourful and picturesque.



They also provided chairs and beds that you can just lay down there staring at the sky just to relax and rejuvenate your mind and body!

If you think that this is all then you are totally wrong!
The most interesting part of this hostel is the breakfast that comes with your package!
They have a very limited choice on the menu but trust me, the breakfast here is something you must not miss!
 

We stayed there for 3 nights and we enjoyed different dishes available on the menu. They do have different menu every day so you don't get bored even if you are staying for few nights.
The breakfast is available from 7am to 11am daily. All breakfast set comes with toast, butter & jam with a selection of either coffee, tea or juice.

With a place like this, I can really relax myself from all the busy city life and just chill here all day long. With some beers or champagne? Everything will be perfect.

Don't forget to catch the priceless sunset and sunrise view directly from your room door if you choose and sea-facing tube!


Overall our trip was really lovely and I spent a relaxing 4 nights and 3 days at Tubotel Langkawi.
Though our trip was short but Langkawi is really a place that you can go for a short trip just to enjoy the island with beers, chocolates, beautiful views and many more.
