Hungry Ghost Month Festival

Every lunar July of every year.
All the Taoist & Buddhist will celebrate this festival.
We called this as "Hungry Ghost Month"

The month where all the spirits/soul/ghost will release from hell.
The month where "they" are free to find for "foods"/"people" etc.
The month where people burning those papers like burning money.
The month where most of the parents don't let their kids go out at night.

Mostly people will pray a god named "Zhong Kui" in Mandarin

If you guys still got no idea about who he is.

As you go around Penang for this whole month,
you will see people setting up some kind of celebration.
This is what they are celebrating.
They will pray with a lot of foods and those paper money.

Some of them will hire some Chinese Opera Group to perform.
And also some of them will hire those road concert.
Have you watch 881 : Papaya Sister last year?
That's what I mean.

As for every family.
Same things applied.
They will set up their own tables.
Praying with all those foods, candles & etc.
